Statutory COE Accountant Cpl, in partnership with our client Pfizer, are currently recruiting for a COE Statutory Accountant to work onsite with Pfizer in Ringsend, Dublin 4, for a 12 month Contingent fixed term contract. Position Purpose The Statutory Reporting Centre of Excellence has a number of accounting responsibilities, particularly end to end Local GAAP reporting activities and US GAAP related activities. The Statutory CoE Accountant is an important member of a team focused on the on-time and accurate completion of financial statements, audit delivery, statistical reporting, and key GBS deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities Prepare statutory financial statements in line with local requirements.Prepare audit deliverables for KPMG GBS, KPMG Market and Internal Audit.Work with KPMG to ensure timely & satisfactory completion of audits under Local GAAP.Maintain Local GAAP ledgers ensuring information is updated in a timely and accurate manner.Prepare US GAAP quarterly controls, including post submissions analytics.Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders in market finance and GBS.Act as a first point of contact for key stakeholders, both internally and with external parties such as KPMG.Support implementation of new business technology and reporting tools around financial statement preparation.Contribute to team effort and assist other colleagues as needed.Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up on local accounting issues arising.Ensure adherence to controls and a robust controls culture.Identify opportunities for process continuous improvement and implement solutions.Support departmental, ad hoc and other projects as required.Education, Skills and Experience University Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.Qualified Accountant or equivalent.Knowledge and practical experience of Local and US GAAPs preferred.Minimum 3+ years of related accounting experience required.Experience in a shared services/multinational environment preferred.Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills a prerequisite.Ability to work independently, under pressure and handle conflicting priorities.SAP experience preferred.Proficiency in PC skills (inc.
