Role Purpose: To deliver value on all Store Development projects through a focus on cost reduction enabled by the efficient management of the Store Development Cost Database system (Pacman) and other tools such as E Auction and group purchasing to ensure Musgrave and our Retail Partners are maximising value.
Role Scope: Deliver the Store Development cost reduction plan, achieving a 10% cost reduction target.Report on cost management and industry trends to the wider business and retailers.Work closely with the Store Development Operations Manager and Design Manager on cost saving opportunities.Agree and monitor rates with nominated suppliers.Utilise Musgrave purchasing power in the procurement process. Manage eAuctions to deliver lowest cost for Musgrave and our retailers.Work with the Winning Store Operating Model (WSOM) team on equipment rollouts that will deliver cost savings for retailers.Co-ordinate with Design Engineer in relation to existing, new and amended specifications.Co-ordinate with Retail Project Managers (RPMs) on value engineering initiatives.Area of Responsibility: Pacman system management Ensure the Pacman system is functioning effectively and efficiently. Manage system errors reported by users.Track final accounts submitted to the system by Retail Project Managers (RPMs).Work with IT department to ensure requirements of system are being met.Ensure all items of specification are uploaded on the system.Area of Responsibility: Cost Management Prepare reports from Pacman database and the wider industry that will assist in delivering cost savings. Communicate same to key stakeholders: RPM team, Management team, retailer councils and other departments in Musgrave.Prepare schedule of rates for equipment using Pacman and monitor same.Co-ordinate with RPM on value engineering initiatives.Develop and execute existing Store Development cost reduction plan to deliver cost savings.Source alternatives suppliers that will deliver better value where deemed necessary.Area of Responsibility: Procurement Feed information into the procurement process. Develop and deliver eAuctions for various equipment types.Develop Schedule of Rates tendering system.Track projects to ensure suppliers are adhering to agreed rates.Area of Responsibility: Winning Store Operating Model (WSOM) support Support the implementation of WSOM initiatives e.g. Efficient Shelving Solutions (ESS) in SuperValu and Centra stores. Track the various measures installed at store level.
Area of Responsibility: Managing Relations with Nominated Suppliers of Equipment & Professional Services Manage change in existing tendering system.Develop collaborative working relationships with suppliers to ensure service to retailers is best in class.Person Specification: Third Level qualification in Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Cost management/Project Management or Business or Accounting.Preparing costings and budgets.Procurement and tendering.Cost Saving initiatives and rollouts.AutoCAD LT.Analytical.Good organiser.Verbal and written communication.Professional approach.Computer literate in MS Excel and Word.Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
