MACE Shanagolden is looking for a full-time Store Supervisor to join their busy forecourt and convenience store.
Location: 40 mins from Limerick City.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Responsibilities: SupervisoryEnsure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.Delegate and communicate effectively with the sales team.Supervise the effective induction and training of employees.Provide training as appropriate.Assist the store manager in the effective management of sales team performance.Customer CareEnsure customers receive high quality and consistent service at all times.Deal with and rectify customer complaints in an effective and pleasant manner.Proactively take necessary action in store improvements following customer complaints.OperationsEnsure store is merchandised in a customer-friendly and competitive manner, ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines.Maximise sales and margin while minimising waste.Maintain housekeeping in the store at an optimum level.Coordinate in-store sales and promotions.Communicate with store team regarding in-store sales and promotions.Ensure the appropriate cash register and cash handling policy is adhered to.Ensure shelf edged labels are updated on a weekly basis.React to local market trends and competition in an appropriate manner.Stock ManagementOrder stock.Assist the manager in preparations for stock take and supervise where appropriate.Assist the manager in minimising stock loss through wastage, damages, and pilferage.Ensure food management and waste systems are adhered to by the deli sales team.Check stock to ensure adequate stock is available for customers' needs.Ensure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in-date stock is available and to minimise waste through out-of-date stock.Legislation & SecurityEnsure secure opening and closing procedures with the store manager.Ensure compliance with consumer legislation.Identify and reduce potential hazards in the store.Work with the store manager to ensure Health & Safety checks are conducted and actioned accordingly.GeneralKnow and understand company policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented effectively by the retail sales team.Achieve targets as agreed with the store manager.Escalate issues to the store manager as appropriate.Communicate with the store manager on an ongoing basis.Undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the store manager.Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal relations.Excellent understanding of consumer needs.Proven track record in achieving agreed targets.Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to anticipate and react to market changes.Committed to continually improving standards.Self-motivated.The ability to work in a pressurised environment.
