OverviewPepsiCo is on the look-out for a Strategic Manufacturing Solutions Engineer to join our global engineering function based in Cork.We are the concentrate business in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.

Reporting to the Senior Global Design Manager this is a central global role based in Ireland.This role is responsible for providing a critical analysis of capacity requirements across PGCS and in collaboration with supply chain and operations, to develop optimised end to end solutions to deliver the correct operational solution to address the needs of the business.This role will be responsible for planning for future capacity needs, identifying capital requirements, optimizing exiting capacity and ensuring a BCP (business continuity plan ) is in place for all products across PGCS.
ResponsibilitiesJOB DESCRIPTIONLead the critical analysis of capacities and in collaboration with supply chain and operations develop an optimised end to end solutions.Understanding of base line plant capabilities and identification of potential solution to hot spots identified during the capacity analysisLead & develop new and optimized solutions to deliver the growth agendaReview and assess changes to capacity and develop end to end engineering solutions to optimise the existing asset base.Translate Supply chain requirements (Capacity/Capability and BCP) into executable projects to address manufacturing gaps.Optimise the selection of the site and equipment needed to support changes in capacityIdentify equipment and changes to plant configuration to enable increase/decrease in capacityLead & support the business case development for capital driven by growth, sugar reduction and innovationEnsure plant capabilities can deliver the BCP objectivesWork with R&D to develop innovative solutions to deliver the future growth agendaSupport the LAMASOFT model and assumption for model parametersDevelop and leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment design.Responsible for the capacity's solutions needed to deliver the business needs.Provide technical guidance to the design teams.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMin 8/10 years process industry experience in engineering with additional operations or maintenance exposure and extensive capital project management experienceDegree qualification in Chemical or Process engineering or equivalentExtensive Experience required in the following areas:Process plant technical standardsProject concept developmentBusiness case and capital approvalDesign, Procurement and InstallationConstruction, Commissioning and ValidationEnvironmental, health and safety managementExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organizationChange management advocativeProven experience delivering the design aspect of large/complex capital projects in a global and diverse environment, extensive experience in concentrate manufacturing engineering and track record of influencing a complex matrix of stakeholders to deliver a design to the highest standardThis role requires significant technical competency in the engineering field and the ability to influence key stakeholders to drive change in operational methods and the ability to manage teams of contractors and staff to deliver projects to a high standard within committed budget and schedule.Extensive Experience required in the following areas:Concentrate businessMulti plant exposureProcess plant technical standardsProject concept developmentBusiness case and capital approvalEquipment Design and optimizationPepsiCo products are enjoyed by consumers more than one billion times a day in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
