  About The Role To work as a member of a residential team to create a safe and caring environment which meets the individual and group needs of the children who live there.
Residential Care Workers must practice in accordance with relevant childcare legislation, national standards, and Ashdale Care (Ireland) Ltd Policies and Procedures.    Key Responsibilities   ·       Cultivate genuine and caring connections with young people, promoting a positive culture.
·       Assist in daily care and supervision, including housework, cooking, and personal care.
·       Accompany children to various activities and outings including places of worship.  ·       Promote a healthy lifestyle and contribute to the young people's development.
·       Assist in the facilitation of personal education plans and organize recreational activities.
·       Collaborate with support networks, including social workers, educators and guardians.
·       Encourage social development by facilitating involvement in the local community and outside activities.  ·       Be sensitive to individual needs, including race, culture, and religion.  ·       Provide emotional support during difficult or stressful times.  ·       Follow management guidance and participate in team meetings.  ·       Maintain records detailing observations or assessment of the children in line with requirements ·       Collaborate effectively within a team, engaging in regular communication through daily handovers, team meetings, and various reviews and planning sessions.
