WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION Post: Support Worker Contract: Specified Purpose, Full-Time (39 hours per week) Location: Kilcummin Residential Services Roster: Mon - Wed: 08:00 - 16:30 / Thurs & Fri: 08:00 - 16:00 *Please note, rosters may be subject to change due to the Operational requirements of the Service* Lohan Lodge, currently houses five male residents.
We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. 

The role requires strict adherence to HIQA regulations, the Health Care Act, and local policies and procedures.

The Role: The core activities for the post of Support Worker will include planning and setting goals with the person to assist them in meeting their personal, social, recreational, academic, independent living, community integration, training and supported employment needs. As a Support Worker you will enable the people we support realise their goals and achieve their identified priorities.
You will also provide support and act as an advocate for participation and inclusion in the community on behalf of the person we support. The Support Worker operates within the framework of a person centered approach and actively engages with and promotes co-operation and partnership with other services, both internally and externally and in particular with families. Along with supporting adults with an intellectual disability, the support worker will be required to complete all relevant reports and documentation.
They will provide physical support, including personal care, emotional support and health care support whilst encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
As well as teaching life skills, the support worker will work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards. Essential Criteria: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support.
Equivalent qualifications to Healthcare support will be considered, with a minimum of 1 years relevant experience working with Adults with an Intellectual Disability. Applications will also be considered from candidates who have successfully completed at least 1 year of their Nursing or Social Care degree. Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably within a disability service. A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes is essential. Where applicable, applicants must hold a valid Irish work permit.
