Location: Clarin service is based in the Clarinbridge/Ballindereen area of Co. Galway and is roughly 15kms from the city.
We provide day and residential services and individualised services to adults with high support needs, based on personal outcome measures.

Role: The role of the CMN1 is an important role in the management of the day-to-day organisation of an integrated service providing both day and residential service supports.
The successful candidate must provide leadership in the development of the service in line with Personal Outcomes Measures, HIQA standards, new directions and future service requirements.

Reporting/Responsible To: Team Manager/Service Coordinator /Area Manager
Qualifications: A current Live Register Certificate from An Bord Altranais is essential; RNID/RMHN qualification
Is desirable however Live Certificate from other nursing grades will be considered.
A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement.
It is essential for the appointee to drive the transport that is assigned to the Service.
Fluency in verbal and written
English is an essential requirement of this post.
An appropriate management qualification is also desirable or a commitment to obtain one.
Experience: Candidates must have at least 3 years post qualification experience gained in services for people with intellectual disabilities.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of leading and supporting a team.
Experience of overseeing an integrated day programme in a residential setting is desirable.
Experience in community networking, supporting individuals to partake in activities in their local community, goal setting and programme implementation is desirable.
Experience of working with individuals with autism, challenging behaviour and mental health is an advantage.
Skills: Candidates must demonstrate leadership and planning skills and the ability to set goals, put into action and follow through.
Candidates must have the ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and confidentiality, be creative and self-motivated, communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms and co-operate in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy.
Working Hours: 75 hours per fortnight based on a 14-day duty roster.
Contracted hours of work are liable to change over 7 days to meet the requirements of the service.
The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings and weekends, public holidays, and occasional night duty may be required.
Some of the work hours are in a supernumerary capacity to fulfil the managing and leading role.
The successful candidate will also be the senior person on duty for management cover and will need to support and advise work colleagues throughout Clarin Services at evenings and weekends.
The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.
Annual Leave: 25 days per annum.
Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years' service respectively.
Annual leave must be planned in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, as one or other must be available for work at all times.
Remuneration: €54,981 (min) x 7 increments - €64,750 (max) per annum.
Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, and night duty when worked.
Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post.
The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment.
The probation period may be extended at the Employer's discretion.
Tenure: This post is permanent fulltime and pensionable with the first assignment been to a community Residential Services under Clarin Services.
