TeamOperations Supervisor Drogheda Port Company Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland Permanent Contract About us Drogheda Port Company is the largest commercial regional port in Ireland, handling over 1.5 million tonnes of cargo per annum and over 1000 ship movements.
The Port is projecting significant future growth and is embarking on ambitious development plans over the next number of years which will see substantial investment in the ports infrastructure, handling capacity, technology, and safety systems.
We are seeking to expand our operations team and appoint a new Team Supervisor within a dynamic environment with a flexible attitude, excellent organisational, planning, communication and time management skills As a TeamOperations Supervisor, your duties will include but not be limited to: Working as part of a small, dedicated team to oversee operational activity.
You will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating daily operations.
You will be responsible for managing an operations team.
Co-ordinating and managing the stock control and management programme.
Being responsible for teams adherence to PPE.
Taking a lead in ensuring adherence to best practice in relation to health and safety procedures.
Ensuring all required administration duties are completed.
Co-ordinating training schedules and training courses.
Flexible working hours Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Previously held a supervisor, team leader or coordinator role.
Problem solving and decision-making skills Good leadership, management and interpersonal skills Strong verbal, written and communication skills Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a team environment.
Computer literate Forklift experience an advantage Ongoing training will be provided Drogheda Port is an equal opportunities employer.
