Job Description There is a requirement within one of our National Maintenance Management Contracts for AWS to appoint a Technical Inspector (Minor Works).
The role is required to support, co-ordinate and manage contractors, and assist in solving minor works project related issues & problems.
The Technical Inspector (Minor Works) shall support the Minor Works Contract Manager in the management of the Minor Works Contracts.
Job Responsibilities   · Support the Client MW Contract Manager in day-to-day issues.
· Provide technical support to the MW Projects Team.
· Engage with the mechanical and electrical contractors and other specialist contractors and other specialist contractors in the delivery of support services to the minor works projects.
· Ensure all works are carried out within the agreed MW Project Programme.
· Instruct contractors in the carrying out of associated minor works.
· Inspect the completed works & confirm the relevant standards as required.
· Be proactive in the overall delivery of all MW projects.
· Liaise with the design team, Project Managers, Building Managers in identifying problem and provide a technical input to the resolution as required.
· Liaise with the appointed specialist MW contractors, monitor, and report on contract performance.
· Evaluate service and make recommendations on improvements.
· Monitor contractor performance and report.
· Control of H&S aspects of Minor Works activity on site Qualifications  Have served a recognised apprenticeship and qualified as an electrician.
· Experience of working as an electrician understanding electrical building services environment, within commercial and or industrial installations for a minimum period of 5 years, excluding any apprenticeship.
· Can demonstrate solid project management capabilities and supplier controls.
· Can demonstrate a full working knowledge of H&S in the project/minor work area.
· Experience in a supervisory, project management or similar role of at least 4years.
· Possess a demonstrable specialised engineering knowledge and technical skill across the full area of mechanical and electrical services sufficient for advice and direction to others in the maintenance, operation, and installation of services.
· Be a team player.
· Be a good communicator.
· Possess a good level / ability in and knowledge of computers systems.
· Possess a full driver's license.
