Fexco Drive Operations are currently recruiting for a Technical Operations Engineer to join their team.
This role is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity to work from our offices based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid model.

Job Purpose Technical Operation are a key contributor to the scope, design and deployment of changes requiring configuration to applications and collaborate with other technology teams to deliver and implement changes in the Production Environment.
There is a continuous objective to ensure there is operational stability regardless of the changes or services being introduced.
To aid this stability, there is a requirement to provide monitoring and alerting to the support team.
Main Responsibilities Collaborate with our Product, Development and Infrastructure teams to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions are delivered.Work on own initiative and manage timelines on key tasks that will align to project timelines.Collaborate to document Standard Operating Procedures for the support team.Complete handovers to the support team as part of production changes.Support the business through a combination of innovative and technical configuration changes across multiple technologies, applications, and payment protocols.Support integration testing/UAT with external clients and vendors.Be a key part of Problem Management and Process Improvement and a point of escalation for support issues prior to escalation to development and infrastructure teams.Promote and maintain good relationships with Fexco customers and partner organisations.As a key stakeholder in project delivery, it will be necessary to represent the operations team effectively and contribute in project work breakdown sessions.Highlight risks to operational stability.Qualifications / Experience Required: 5 years + in an IT role.Third level qualification in relevant IT discipline will be an advantage.Cloud computing skills are preferable.Database experience specifically Oracle, Mysql or Postgres, is preferable.Knowledge of all or some of the following is a distinct advantage: Cloud computing.SPLUNK/Prometheus/Grafana.A good understanding of CI/CD automation.Familiarity with DevOps tools e.g.
Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins etc.Knowledge of Networking/Firewalls.Competencies Required: Customer driven individual with desire to exceed expectations.Strong ability to communicate and influence effectively.An ability to work on own initiative and drive improvements is key.Excellent troubleshooting skills to help diagnose and eliminate problems.Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing environment.
