As a Technical Representative in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, you will report to the Head of Contracted Maintenance. The successful candidate will provide technical oversight and reporting on maintenance events performed by third-party service providers on the Aer Lingus fleet of aircraft, including base maintenance checks and major component repairs and overhauls. Our Maintenance and Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus' ambition by ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet.
Your responsibilities as a Technical Representative will include:
Providing full oversight of contracted maintenance on Aer Lingus aircraft including aircraft deliveries and redeliveries in line with relevant contract terms while ensuring our service providers maintain the highest safety standards possible.Participating in pre-input and daily project meetings, reviewing relevant milestone plans and work schedules while ensuring all significant items are addressed or escalated as required in a timely manner.Acting as a single point of contact between the maintenance department and assigned service providers whilst maintaining a healthy relationship with the supplier and ensuring commercial opportunities are maximized.Ensuring adherence to all applicable Aer Lingus safety standards and procedures, reporting of Quality Escapes as outlined in the Aer Lingus CAME, whilst supporting Quality and Compliance personnel in their oversight of suppliers.Monitoring OEM communications while managing AMOS events and MCC / Operational updates for assigned projects.Authority to dispute, negotiate and agree on additional labour/material claims up to the assigned approval level.Delivery and acceptance of both aircraft and work packs to & from the maintenance provider, whilst providing feedback where appropriate.Supporting all sections of the Aer Lingus Maintenance and Engineering Department with the development and execution of the annual maintenance program.Supporting the development of budget and maintenance cost forecasts with a strong commercial focus on cost control.Reconciliation of contracted maintenance invoices including additional costs, whilst ensuring adherence to budget, and financial analysis of the project spend as required.Your qualifications and key criteriaWe are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
Hold an aircraft maintenance technical qualification in EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 disciplines or equivalent third-level qualification.Airbus A320 and/or A330 type rating desirable but not essential.Knowledge / experience in Part 145 and / or CAMO environments.Knowledge of the Aer Lingus Base maintenance planning process.Strong ability to understand and manage complex maintenance contracts and projects.Knowledge of aircraft financing and budget forecasting essential.Strong working knowledge of AMOS and Excel.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Eligible to live and work in the EU.Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check or be in possession of a current airside pass.Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below.Creative, innovative and idea-driven with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities / continuous improvement principles within the department.Highly commercial and customer-focused.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels both internally and externally.Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.Highly motivated and enthusiastic team member who will promote and encourage change through innovation and use of industry best practice processes and procedures.Self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative and commitment.Flexibility to travel for extended periods on short notice.Closing Date: 13th of September 2024 At Aer Lingus, we embrace diversity and believe in providing equal opportunities to all qualified individuals.
