Trade and Investment Officer,reporting to the Flemish Economic Representative (Trade and Investment Commissioner) at Flanders Investment and Trade Ireland Office.
Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the Flemish-Belgian Government Agency promoting sustainable International Business (Export and Investment), in the interest of Flanders based companies and overseas enterprises.
FIT is currently looking for a full-time Trade and Investment Officer to the Flemish Economic Representative in Dublin.
Position: Based in Dublin, Ireland, you will be a key member of the Flanders Investment & Trade Office.
You will collaborate closely with and support day to day the Flemish Economic Representative (Head of Office) in Dublin, to whom you will be reporting directly.Were looking for an enthusiastic and eager colleague who wants to be part of this small, focused and dynamic team in a multinational environment.
Main responsibilities: Client and Market Development Manage and follow up on incoming market research questions from Flemish companies seeking information on the Irish market and supporting Irish companies looking to invest in Flanders.
Own the ongoing research of B2B (business to business) market information and mapping of ecosystems.
Establish and support key business contacts in Ireland.
Manage client outreach and contact initiation between Flemish and Irish business partners.
Marketing Communication and Events Take responsibility for the organisation and implementation of B2B delegation trips, business networking and trade fairs.
Manage the documentation and evaluation of trade fairs and conferences in Ireland.
Manage relevant marketing and communication via social media and targeted mail campaigns.
Administration Follow up on accurate data management/capture within the dedicated CRM database (Customer Relationship Management).
Capture minutes of meetings and consistently track relevant tasks.
Manage expenses and event budgets (accounting).
Take part in relevant internal training and continuous improvement activities.
Management of day to day office administration (telephone, reception, filing, mailing).
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree related to the main tasks (preferably Economic / Commercial).
Relevant experience in an economic and/or international commercial environment (preferably International Trade related) is a plus.
Good knowledge of the Irish Market.
Fluent level of English required (Dutch would be beneficial, with a knowledge of French good to have also but not essential).
Strong experience of managing day to day client queries over the phone and email with a varied level of contacts (up to Executive level).
Core Competencies: ability to work confidently and independently within a small team, customer-orientated, high attention to detail, flexible, reliable, discrete and able to plan.
What we offer: A permanent, fulltime position (38 hours working week).
Gross monthly salary in line with the market, taking into account relevant professional experience.
26 working days paid leave annually.
Local employment contract.
Offices are located at the Embassy of Belgium in the heart of Dublin 4, in close proximity to several major bus routes and DART services (train).
