The Job As a subject matter expert in Origin of goods and Free Trade Agreements , you will be responsible for understanding, sourcing, collecting, and processing globally updates related to Free Trade Agreements into usable information to ensure compliance and optimisation.
You'll play a pivotal role in managing trade compliance tasks, supporting our development team in workflow optimisation, and assisting customers in leveraging customs incentives for cost savings.
Key Responsibilities FTA and Trade Compliance Expert : monitor globally all FTA updates, able to understand bilateral and diagonal cumulation, different types of proofs of origin, benefits and impact on clients.
Able to determine if product is with preferential origin or not.
Global Trade Intelligence : Proactively monitor international laws impacting trade, providing insights to mitigate compliance risks.
Workflow Management : Partner with the development team to optimize technical workflows, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Data Management : Manage data formats, processing procedures, and quality standards to ensure accurate compliance reporting.
Documentation : Develop clear, comprehensive documentation for all processes, accessible across the team.
Customs Incentives : Utilize customs programs to secure favourable rulings and duty reductions, driving cost savings for customers.
Global Communication : Liaise effectively with stakeholders, including data entry specialists, developers, regulatory authorities, and customers, ensuring clarity and collaboration.
Issue Resolution : Address workflow issues, customer complaints, and data quality concerns, implementing solutions to maintain smooth compliance operations.
The Profile Key Requirements Educational Background : Bachelor's degree or equivalent Analytical Skills : Strong expertise in reasoning, logic, and data organization.
Communication : Proven ability to explain technical and legal processes to diverse audiences, both written and verbal.
