Trade Counter Sales Assistant

Trade Counter Sales Assistant required for a well-established hardware store based in Connemara, Co. Galway. Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers at the trade counter with product selection and inquiries.Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our EPOS system.Provide knowledgeable advice and recommendations on products and services.Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked trade counter area.Assist with stock management, including stock checks and replenishment.Handle customer complaints and returns professionally and effectively.Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers to encourage repeat business.Build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers.Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.Process and track customer orders.Any other duties that may be required.Requirements: Experience in sales, preferably in the builder's merchants industry, would be a strong advantage.The candidate should be at ease with computerised sales order processing systems and possibly have a builders' merchant trade background.Proven experience in a customer-facing sales role, preferably in a trade or retail environment.
