Trainee Accountant – Dublin City Centre / Hybrid A prominent global player in the reinsurance industry is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join its Dublin-based team.

This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of reinsurance transactions while rotating within the finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting various aspects of the financial operations, developing technical expertise, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality financial services.
Your Role Reconcile financial accounts to align with general ledger entries, supported by third-party documentation.Create monthly and quarterly reports, summarising performance and providing insights through variance analysis.Assist with financial settlements by coordinating with treasury to ensure cash flow requirements are met.Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and audit requirements.Provide essential support for both internal and external audit processes by preparing and delivering requested data.Participate in analysing and forecasting financial results to help the team meet key deliverables.Your Skills Strong aptitude for numerical and analytical work.Part-qualified accountant with an enthusiasm for developing within the profession.Experience in life insurance or reinsurance finance is an asset but not essential.Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with SAP is a plus.Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present data clearly.Should this position be of interest to you please forward your CV to Aoife Davis in Abrivia.
