Applications are invited for 3 temporary part-time (0.2FTE) posts of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Psychotherapy (Grad Cert & Prof MSc Group Analytic Psychotherapy) within UCD School of Medicine.
The UCD School of Medicine has an international reputation as a centre of excellence in the domain of psychotherapy.
The School of Medicine offers an extensive portfolio of graduate opportunities at Higher Diploma, Graduate Diploma, Master's, Professional Master's and Doctoral levels across four major specific modalities of psychotherapy, namely, Child Art Psychotherapy, Group Analytic Psychotherapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and Systemic Psychotherapy.
Lecturers are experienced clinicians in the specific modality with considerable academic expertise related to their specific modality of psychotherapy.
There is professional body recognition in place for each of the specific modalities of psychotherapy of the UCD Professional Masters programmes.
The Master's programmes are first and foremost clinical training programmes.
Academic research supports the clinical orientation of the teaching.
UCD Psychotherapy is engaging with the consultation processes of CORU, the Health and Social Care Professions Regulator, which is currently occupied with the operationalising of the State Board with responsibility for the regulation of the titles Counsellor and Psychotherapist in Ireland.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 Per Annum Pro Rata @ 0.2 FTE Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on the 16th of January 2025.
