Volunteer: Board Director With Financial Experience - Amber Womens Refuge Clg

We are currently seeking a Board Director with a proven knowledge in financial management or accountancy.

Responsibilities: Have a deep insight into all our financial policies and controls and propose any recommendations for change. Evaluate and monitor the adequacy of Financial and Risk Management controls and procedures and ensure the organisation is compliant with best practice principles. Have previous experience in change management processes in guiding organisational change including planning, implementing and solidifying changes in an organisation. Provide an overview of the finances to advise the Board on financial implications of proposals, cash flow problems, etc. Contribute to the financial performance for the organisation in an evolving sector, by providing oversight on goals, strategy, finances, activities, and opportunities. Be an authorised signatory of the Charity. Be appointed to the Finance Sub Committee of Amber Womens Refuge CLG. Term: We currently anticipate Board Directors being appointed for a period of three years.
Location: Amber Kilkenny Womens Refuge CLG, Lacken, Dublin Road, Kilkenny, R95 NY04.
Board meetings: are currently held via hybrid option every six weeks.
