They design, construct, operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants.
Our client is seeking to expand their Engineering team to co-ordinate and deliver capital works across Dublin and other plants.Monitor system performance and take daily readings of the above plantCarry out preventative and corrective maintenance work on plantMaintain Engineering area in terms of good house keepingContribute on identification, quantification, implementation and presentation ofequipment continuous improvement projectsMaking sure maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with site policiesand procedures and equipment operation and maintenance manualsTroubleshoot equipment related process problems and equipment failures todetermine cause and to investigate repairs.Ensure effective completion and ongoing review of planned equipment maintenance routines on MAXIMO (site CMMS)Ensure all executed maintenance activities are recorded on MAXIMO (site CMMS)Support Engineering and Operations personnel on continuous improvements and monitor equipment in order to recommend process improvementsMinimise downtime on equipment, through fast response, effective root cause analysis and good problem solving techniquesEffective analysis and elimination of recurring equipment problems.Take part in after hours on-call roster for CHP with one other CHP technicianContribute to a pleasant and positive team work atmosphereThe responsibilities contain information to describe and evaluate the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all work performed.RequirementsThe candidate must have a strong reciprocating engine background with the ability to display a high level of skill and understanding regarding internalcombustion engines, generator sets, turbo chargers, intercoolers, ideally natural gas engines, but will consider applicants that have experience with dieselstandby or other engine technologies (e.g.
compression engines).Knowledge of maintenance of natural and bio gas boilersMust be available to work over-time and occasionally travel on weekends.Good communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.Proven ability to work well as part of a team & on own with minimum supervisionMust be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a team and/or on own initiative.Strong technical capability with attention to detailWilling to attend training to improve technical skillsMinimum three years' experience in this or related industryFormal training in reference to engines, complex mechanical & electrical systems.Ability to read and understand technical drawingsPreferable a person with some practical training / education (e.g.
apprentice program, etc.)
Technical Degree or CertificationElectrical knowledge and ATEX qualification would be a distinct advantagePackageSalary: €45k - €55k depending on experience Performance based bonus of up to 12% of annual salary23 days/year of Annual Leave plus all the Irish bank holidays including Good FridayAccess to our defined contribution pension scheme upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
