Key job responsibilitiesMonitor site performance against set KPIs and create plans to improve processes Set up workplace health and safety programmes and arrange training sessions Analyse safety metrics and incident trends to help colleagues plan appropriate resources for areas with the highest risk Carry out audits to make sure your site is compliant with relevant health and safety laws and implement solutions where you identify risks A day in the lifeYou'll be based on location at one of our sites, which could be one of our fulfilment centres, sortation centres or delivery stations.
Being on site means that you can keep a close eye on the processes.
As well as helping us stay on top of health and safety compliance, you'll spot potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
That means working closely with people across the business to get to know the risks they experience and gathering data to identify smarter and safer ways that we can work.
You'll also set up training and other programmes to help everyone follow new safety processes and reach new standards.About the teamWorkplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work.
Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers.
No matter what your role is, you'll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards.
You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Education to a degree level- NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ5 Level or Equivalent qualification- Understanding of Irish Environment, health and safety legislation- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken EnglishPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership- Strong stakeholder management capabilitiesAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
