We wish to appoint a Business Development Manager (BDM) based in our Dublin/Limerick office to lead SIDC's business development function.
Description and Details: The successful candidate's role will be to identify and develop new business opportunities for SIDC in Ireland and overseas, including responding to Requests for Proposals from international donor funding agencies. In developing these opportunities, the BDM will have the active support and involvement of the Garland / SIDC senior management.
The role of the BDM will be to: Assist in refining SIDC's medium and long-term strategic goals in the Irish and overseas marketsBuild key partner and customer relationshipsIdentify business opportunitiesGenerate leads for potential projects or clientsPrepare written proposals and present these proposals to management and clientsNegotiate and close business deals in conjunction with the SIDC DirectorsDevelop knowledge of current business and economic conditions in target economiesDevelop and enhance SIDC's database of key consultantsWork with the Garland / SIDC management team to increase business opportunities and thereby increase revenue for the group. Central to the role will be the need to find potential new customers, present to them, and ultimately convert them into clientsRequirements: A proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing scenariosEnergetic, enthusiastic, and take pride in your workBe a "Go-getter" with drive and determinationAbility to use initiative to overcome challengesWilling to be pioneersEducation Requirement: Degree or preferably a Post Graduate Qualification in Business or EconomicsExperience Required: 5+ yearsDesirable: Experience in working in consultancy overseasAn attractive package will be offered commensurate with experience.
