Job Title: Buyer Location: Kingscourt, Cavan Job Purpose: The Buyer is responsible for ensuring the timely, effective, and efficient supply of raw materials and merchandised goods into the Kingscourt Manufacturing and Distribution Centre by coordinating with external suppliers and internal customers.
This role is crucial in preventing supply gaps, managing timely escalations, and meeting both internal and external customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities: Ensure uninterrupted production with no supply issues.
Prevent lost orders due to purchasing failures.
Maintain effective stock replenishment of raw materials and merchandised goods.
Achieve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery to customers.
Place Purchase Orders with relevant suppliers as needed and in accordance with established processes.
Follow up on order confirmations and arrange transportation for orders, booking deliveries to Kingscourt and offsite storage facilities.
Complete all administrative requirements, including customs declarations, to ensure timely arrival of orders.
Identify and mitigate risks to the supply chain, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any arising issues.
Key Responsibilities: Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Chair weekly service calls with suppliers of Metal & ISOVER products, and others as needed.
Consult with Operations and Customer Service regarding material availability and potential stock-outs.
Process and follow up on new vendor requests.
Prepare, issue, and follow up on Supplier Corrective Action Reports.
Generate necessary reports and participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities as required.
Maintain compliance through accurate records, procedures, and systems.
Conduct supplier measurement and auditing activities.
Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: A qualification in Supply Chain, Business, or Administration is desirable.
Advanced Excel skills, particularly in VLook-ups and Pivot Tables.
Experience: Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
Proven experience in a similar transactional Buyer or Buyer/Planner role.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, strong problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
