Follow recipes and presentation specifications while learning new techniques to enhance culinary skills.
Kitchen Station Management: Manage a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards.
Assist in the mise en place to ensure all ingredients are prepared and ready for service.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, assisting in the inspection and tasting of dishes before they are served.
Maintain attention to detail to ensure all dishes meet the property's standards for taste and presentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and effective communication during busy periods.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for menu development and improvements.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including ordering and restocking supplies as necessary to minimize waste and manage costs.
Compliance with Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment at all times.
Follow proper food storage procedures and assist in rotating stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines.
Requirements: Experience: Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, or in a similar role within a high-end kitchen is preferred.
Culinary Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
A passion for food and a desire to learn and develop culinary skills further.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
Communication: Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
