Job Overview Our Client, an Irish based construction company, who specialise in the Design & Manufacture are seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Financial Accountant to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assistance in preparation, review and finalisation, monitoring performance and risks, evaluation of business proposals and tenders and other ERP projects as required. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.
The business combines a manufacturing environment along with an on-site building contractor and the ability to identify and record revenue and costs associated with both parts of the business is a key reporting function.
Key Responsibilities Assistance in preparation, review and finalisation of monthly accounts and reporting packs to meet month end deadlines.
Assistance in preparation of year end accounts and management of the year-end audit and statutory accounts submissions.
Monitoring actual performance, profitability and performing variance analysis.
Identifying areas of budget concern and potential impact on financial performance.
Preparation and submission of VAT submissions.
Evaluation of new business proposals and tenders and preparing commercial pricing models.
Continuous review and implementation of internal controls and procedures to ensure adequate financial and non-financial checks and balances are in place to safeguard validity of the balance sheet.
Other ongoing finance/ERP projects as required.
Personal Competencies and Qualifications Hands-on and can-do approach essential.
Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel.
Experience of working with ERP & MRP systems. Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to liaise and direct across multiple departments.
