SimoTech has a new opportunity for a Junior MES Engineer to join our team supporting one of our clients, a global Pharmaceutical organisation based in Cork.
Working in a hybrid capacity, you will be a core member of the MES Sustaining Team supporting the manufacturing of a worldwide supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients for innovative medicines. The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2 years' experience with Emerson Syncade systems within the Life Sciences industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess mapping of existing manufacturing processes and support of MES recipes.Carry out testing and change control activities related to MES recipe changes.Send instructions between MES Syncade and OSI PI Historian.Take part in the ongoing development, review, and update of all relevant SOPs.Carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding where required for MES and all relevant interfaces as required.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or similar.2+ years' experience as an MES Engineer within the Life Sciences industry.A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and practices within a GMP environment.Experience with Emerson Syncade within a Pharmaceutical API environment is desirable.Knowledge of sending instructions between MES Syncade and OSI PI.Proven analytical and problem-solving ability to identify the root-cause and solutions for technical issues related to MES systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid working relationships that enable cross-functional cooperation and enhance stakeholder engagement.What SimoTech Can OfferRole provides a high degree of autonomy to allow the successful candidate to reach their full potential.Develop new skills and enhance technical ability by working with innovative technologies in a multi-disciplined environment.Opportunity to work with large corporate clients on exciting capital projects.By submitting my data (CV), I consent to SimoTech collecting and storing my personal data, as outlined in the SimoTech Privacy Statement which I have read.
