Legal Counsel / Lawyer Up to €120,000 (DOE) Tipperary – Hybrid MC Technical Recruitment are looking for a Lawyer/Solicitor to be part of an in-house Legal Counsel.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the legal and compliance functions within a Renewable Energy Company based in Tipperary.
You will provide expert legal advice, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage contractual matters to facilitate the successful execution of many projects.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy initiatives and contribute to a sustainable future.
As the Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for: Provide comprehensive legal support across all aspects of our renewable energy projects Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including project development, supply agreements, and joint ventures Direct and manage the legal and governance work-streams required for the operation and development of the Renewable Energy portfolio of assets Ensure compliance with Irish and EU energy regulations and environmental laws Advise on corporate governance, risk management, and policy development Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address legal and regulatory challenges Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments impacting the renewable energy sector To be considered for this role you should have: Qualified solicitor in Ireland with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience In-depth knowledge of Irish and EU energy regulations and environmental laws Previous experience in the energy sector with excellent knowledge of energy markets and the key principles of project development and operations within the sector Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills Experience working with contracts such as HoTs, lease agreements, feedstock agreements, construction contracts (NEC), process contracts (IChemE), O&M contracts, management service agreements and multidisciplinary contracts and agreements Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Passion for sustainability and renewable energy initiatives Proficient in MS Office suite What's on offer?
