We are hiring a Legal Counsel for a 12 month maternity contract to join the IPL team in Dublin.
Job Overview and Key Duties include: Providing accurate, relevant and timely advice to management and other stakeholders in the business on a wide variety of legal topics. Commercial contracts portfolio management. In this role you will be drafting, negotiating, and advising on various commercial contracts and agreements from a legal perspective. Management of the company's intellectual property portfolio. Ensuring the business is compliant from a data protection and privacy perspective. Assisting with corporate M&A transactions and other corporate governance activities. Delivering legal training to the business on a variety of different compliance topics including company policies (such as annual data protection training) and the contract review framework. Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the organisation. Communicating with, managing and controlling the cost of external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Staying up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect our business and the specific industry. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities at the same time. Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business. Providing practical and business-minded legal advice to business stakeholders on a variety of legal topics. Additional Qualifications and Skills include: Qualified solicitor authorised to practice in Ireland with a minimum of 3 years PQE. Significant commercial experience and business mindset, including extensive experience on commercial contracts, in a leading law firm or in-house environment.
