Logistics & Customs Specialist Our client, a well-established Logistics Business in the Cork area looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Logistics and Customs Clearance Specialist to join their experienced team.
This role is critical in assisting in day-to-day operations, and ensuring that all customs clearance processes are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: *Assist in managing the day-to-day logistics activities, including tracking shipments, managing schedules, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
*Work closely with the customs team to facilitate the clearance process for shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
*Ensure that all transportation services are coordinated effectively to guarantee timely and efficient delivery of goods.
This includes liaising with transportation providers and monitoring the progress of shipments.
*Collaborate with team members and external partners to resolve any issues that arise during the logistics process.
You will also contribute to identifying and implementing efficiency improvements to streamline logistics operations.
*Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including team members, external partners, and clients, to ensure that all logistics activities are aligned and executed smoothly.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience *A Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is beneficial *At least 2 years of experience in logistics management and Ireland and UK customs clearance.
*Basic knowledge of international shipping and transport *Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
*Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work on your own initiative but also within a team.
