Merchandise Planning/Stock Control Manager Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data-driven decision-making and an eye for retail trends?
Join our dynamic team as a Merchandise Planner/Stock Control Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategies and driving sales success!
Key Responsibilities As a Merchandise Planner, you will: Merchandise Planning: Develop comprehensive merchandise plans using historical data, sales forecasts, and seasonal trends.
Collaborate with buying teams to align product availability with marketing and sales objectives.
Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, monitoring inventory turnover and adjusting as needed.
Allocation & Distribution: Strategically allocate inventory to stores or channels based on sales data, demographics, and seasonal requirements.
Ensure high-demand locations are well-stocked.
Sales Analysis & Forecasting: Analyse sales trends and consumer insights to accurately forecast future demand.
Provide recommendations on purchase quantities and timing.
Profit Maximisation: Determine purchase quantities and pricing strategies to minimise markdowns and maximise profitability.
Partner with the operations team to set and achieve profit targets.
Liaison & Communication: Work closely with buyers, suppliers, and store managers to align on stock requirements and promotional strategies.
Coordinate with distribution centers to manage stock movements.
What We're Looking For We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with: Strong skills in sales forecasting and data analysis.
Proficiency in inventory management tools and software, such as Excel or Fashion Master.
Knowledge of retail mathematics and key metrics like GMROI and margin analysis.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
A results-driven mindset with a focus on optimising inventory and driving profitability.
Previous experience in Stock Control Management is essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a retail stock control management environment.
Familiarity with seasonal planning cycles and consumer behavior analysis.
