Leinster Environmentals is an award-winning Irish-owned plastics recycling specialist that provides waste management companies and industrial plants with a route to market for their scrap plastic materials.
Using our own specialist in-house recycling and reprocessing equipment, we produce high-quality plastic regrinds and other plastic products suitable for exporting to overseas plastic moulding clients.
To ensure our machines and equipment operate at maximum efficiency, our dedicated team of on-site fitters and mechanics carry out preventative and reactive maintenance as well as fabrication and installation of new and upgraded equipment.
In order to assist them with their activities a position has arisen for a Mechanic/ Fitter Responsibilities & Duties The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our existing team member and: • Measuring, drilling & cutting steel and materials • Welding, joining and assembling components • Removing worn / broken parts & components and replacing same as needed • Having the ability to carry out all aspects of work in accordance with Quality and Health & Safety standards.
• Work on implementing customization of machines & equipment.
• Perform visual inspection of assembly parts and overall product.
• Ability to learn other areas sufficient to fill in where required.
• Examines equipment visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
Qualifications & Skills • Experience in Mechanical/ Farm Machinery is advantageous.
• Highly motivated with strong communication skills.
• The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to deal with technical queries and problem solving.
• Attention to detail and excellent Quality of work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the use of hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
