Product Planning, Manager Amgen Dun Laoghaire - Dublin Overview: This person has ownership and manages the medium to long term (4 – 24 month) supply plan for their respective assigned products and production module. In this role the Product Planning Manager will accurately forecast, plan & schedule their products ensuring that optimal supply inventory levels are in place to meet demand requirements whilst minimizing scrap risk and optimising and improving reliability, responsiveness and stability of supply. In addition, the successful candidate will manage lifecycle projects such as product structure updates and continuous improvement projects that will serve to advance the Oliver Wight Class A principles governing the Amgen Dun Laoghaire Supply Chain department. The successful candidate will lead cross functional teams and influence other functions and departments to ensure appropriate prioritisation and project management to meet these principles. Other Key Responsibilities: Manage medium term and long-term capacity planning activities and ensure appropriate communication/escalation to critical resource ownersProactively assess inventory positions (from raw materials through to finished product) and execute plans to drive these to target values. Present and discuss inventory profiles in the current to +24 month window for allocated product families.Manage towards a stable Supply Plan and identify root causes and corrective actions in case of deviationsEnsure timely completion of deliverables as part of the Amgen network planning cycle (S&OP process)Support and champion the Oliver Wight Class A business processes at Amgen Dun Laoghaire enabling alignment of consolidated demand and supply, supply plan adherence and supply to customer sites on time and in full. Monitor Class A KPI's and define corrective and preventive actionsDevelop and present various scenario analyses to support decision making in the Supply Chain functionWork closely with the Global Supply Chain leads across the Amgen global Supply Chain network to ensure market supplyWork closely with NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to manage new product introductionsIdentify scrap risks and take preventive actions to minimize normal and abnormal scrapOwn and manage product specific life cycle management changes and transitionsReview and update relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure SOP complianceLead or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives using best in class problem solving techniques (Operational Excellence, 6s, LEAN)Works under minimal direction and understand that work is guided by operational & project objectives and prioritiesAnticipates and prevents potential problems by independently developing solutions that are thorough, practical & consistentHandles diverse scope of issues that require evaluation of a variety of factors (Supply issues, product launch requirements, regulatory filings, transition plans, deviations, supply and transport constraints)Systems: SAP, Rapid Response (Planning System), CDOCS, QMTS (Quality Trackwise System)Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or equivalentMinimum > 5 years supply chain planning experienceSAP ECC Planning and / or Rapid Response experience essentialEnd to End Supply Chain Planning Experience and KnowledgeAbility to analyse complex data and to communicate findings, knowledge share and make recommendationsAdvanced experience and capability with Excel, Word, MS Visio and MS ProjectProactive / "Can do" mentalityStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate in multi-cultural global forums at network levelPreferred Qualifications: Master's Degree or APICS certificationWorking knowledge of regulatory and pharmaceutical processesAbility to conduct effective root cause analysisTeam player, self-starter, independent worker who takes on ownership of driving tasks / projects to completionReadily adapts to, embraces and manages change
