As Senior IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing IT Systems Analyst and Developer Staff duties within the Qualcomm Cork Office. You will lead a team of analysts and developers and collaborate with Global, cross-functional teams to support our initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead a team of IT Professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets Project and Program initiatives.Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.Collaborate with individuals inside own team and with other global IT teams to complete project work.Manage the performance of team members by meeting regularly with each member to discuss current and future state of key projects, identify developmental opportunities, and evaluate performance based on key metrics.Develop, coach, and mentor members of the team and provide development assignments.Work with Qualcomm San Diego office to allocate workload among team members by considering employee availability, skill set, and current workload when making assignments.Provide insight and support the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of how current processes impact business operations across multiple domains.Application Development Management: Demonstrated experience with Agile SAFE Methodologies.Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds.Experience with Adobe AEM.Significant development experience with Java Frameworks.Provide mentoring and assistance on development tasks.Collaborate closely with Qualcomm US based staff to ensure program and project alignment.Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in application development.Develop and execute a long-term application strategy aligned with the company's goals.Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.Level of Responsibility: Working independently with little supervision.Providing supervision to direct reports.Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.Using visual, verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question.Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions.Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.Using deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be necessary to solve the problem.Exercising creativity is needed to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.Minimum Requirements: 8+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
12+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
2+ years of experience leading projects/programs.
