The primary role is to ensure the efficient operation of the stores area, ensuring materials are stored in correct locations and all records are updated and entered in the KAON Automation material handling software.
The role is stores-based and the job holder's primary duties include:
Check quantities and qualityRecord deliveries on the systemStore all materials by project or in designated general stock areaManagement of physical stock movements, ensuring systems reflect all movements:Allocate stockReturn goods into stockRun and analyse re-ordering reportsConduct stock counts:Review discrepancies and make changesResolve issues with suppliers with support from ProcurementAddress invoicing queries related to the delivery of materials.Update and maintain suppliers rework worksheetWork request, delivery method & receiving of goodsLogistics responsibilities with support from Procurement:Shipping quotesPacking of machines / outgoing materialsLiaise with hauliers/couriers for the collection/delivery of goodsKeep the stores area organised, clean and tidyAd hoc tasks as outlined by the Operations ManagerMinimum requirements include:
Prior experience in a warehousing or store environment is not necessary but an advantageAbility to work on own initiative and must be proactiveGood organisational skillsAbility to meet deadlinesCommon sense approach with attention to detailIT familiarity; experience using Microsoft Excel and Sage is an advantageInterest in mechanics and/or machinery is an advantageKAON Automation is an automation specialist.
