Saint John of God Communith Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic and Cluain Mhurie Services Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow .
Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.
Cluain Mhuire is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision delivering a community based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin to a catchment area of some 182,000 people approximately. In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services.
  Initial Base: Detect, Avila House, Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin Early intervention for psychosis services have developed in many countries worldwide including Ireland. The Dublin and East Treatment and Early Care Team (DETECT) is an Irish Early Intervention for Psychosis Service (www.detect.ie). The multidisciplinary team provides specialist interventions for all those who are diagnosed with a psychotic illness.
Additionally, there is a programme of service evaluation and research underway. The service is now expanding to develop a Youth Early Intervention in Psychosis service Key Worker in Early Intervention in Psychosis- Youth Service (EIP) 1 x Permanent, Full-time (35 hours) post   Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Cluain Mhuire Service are now inviting applications for the post of Key Worker in the Youth Early Intervention in Psychosis Service.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.    Role Summary Early intervention for psychosis services have developed in many countries worldwide including Ireland. The Dublin and East Treatment and Early Care Team (DETECT) is an Irish Early Intervention for Psychosis Service (www.detect.ie). The multidisciplinary team provides specialist interventions for all those who are diagnosed with a psychotic illness.
Additionally, there is a programme of service evaluation and research underway. Following the launch of the National Model of Care for Early Intervention in Psychosis, National Clinical Programme, (HSE, 2019), Cluain Mhuire has been funded to provide specialist assessment and treatment for young people aged 14-18 with psychosis throughout CHO 6 .  This is a new and exciting development.
  This post would suit an experienced clinician who has extensive experience in psychosis and who would now relish the challenge of being part of a new Team tasked with setting up an innovative service for adolescents with psychosis.
Prior experience in new service development would be an advantage. This post is part of the National Clinical Programme for EIP for Youth Mental Health for Dublin South East and Wicklow - CHO6 Mental Health Services. The Key Worker will focus on the assessment of individuals referred to the service with a possible First Episode of Psychosis (FEP).
Key to this role is assertive engagement with individuals presenting with a possible FEP, the provision of detailed specialist clinical assessments, and the delivery of psychosocial interventions for the individual and their family/carers.
They will also contribute to the evaluation of the EIP programme.
  Minimum Requirements The successful candidate will possess a relevant third level qualification and will have five years of relevant post qualification experience . In addition, candidates must at the latest date of application: 1.      Be registered in the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses kept Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) and be currently employed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Role OR CNM2 in Mental Health OR 2.     Be a registered Occupational Therapist and currently employed as a Senior Occupational Therapist in Mental Health OR 3.     Be a registered Social Worker and be currently employed as a Senior Social Worker in Mental Health OR Be a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy specialist who has completed recognised training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to Master's level.
Hold current membership of the Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy Ireland (CBPI) or Irish Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (IABCP) or eligible for accreditation by, either of them.
5.     Have post-qualification experience of working in a CAMHs service for at least one year, with proficiency in ca rrying out assessments and delivering interventions.
    6.    Have knowledge and understanding of psychosis and the complex needs of this group.
  7.     Be familiar with comorbid mental health conditions in adolescents such as other neurodevelopmental disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, emotional dysregulation difficulties and drug and alcohol abuse.
  8.    Have experience of group work and working within a multidisciplinary team.
  9.     Previous experience of working in an Adult Mental Health service is desirable.
Remuneration Salary Grade 3072 PSYCHOSIS KEY WORKER, EARLY INTERVENTION on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale €68,217 - €78,687 per annum pro rata   Initial location The initial location of this role is Dublin South .
However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS's other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
