Technical Supervisor

About the role: This department arranges the maintenance, service, connection, disconnection of all gas equipment on a customer's premises pertaining to their Flogas LPG supply.
The purpose of the technical supervisor is to monitor compliance on customer sites (cylinder, bulk and distribution systems), aid in contractor development, assessment and approval, offer technical expertise to customers and assist the sales team on customer service issues.
This role will be a field based role, generally covering south of the country and will require periodic visits to designated main office Dublin/Cork/Drogheda/Belfast- a company vehicle will be provided.
Key Responsibilities: Quality inspections on customer installations to verify installation compliance and safety in relation to best practice and Irish standards.
Support sales staff on bulk vessels and cylinder siting, compliance and risk assessments.
Work with RGI contractors to offer a high level of customer and installer support and technical/ safety guidance.
Perform contractor assessments and aid in contractor development.
Inspections of Flogas Assets in the field, focusing on distribution systems, liquid installations, and vaporising equipment.
Handling customer technical complaints.
Local technical representative to attend customer sites following gas related incidents Emergency response cover Project supervision and management of projects on Flogas assets.
Oversee staff and contractor training.
Assist in continual improvement of equipment, systems, and processes Undertake additional related duties as required Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate holds a third-level qualification in an engineering discipline or possesses significant engineering/construction experience.
While experience as an RGI/GSR or gas fitter is desirable, it is not essential.
They have a working knowledge of pressurised systems and experience in contractor management and supervision.
The Technical Supervisor will demonstrate a proactive, positive attitude towards customers and excels in high-pressure situations, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
As a team player who can also work independently, they will take responsibility for checking and auditing work produced by others, showcasing a strong acumen for risk assessment and safety.
Additionally, they possess excellent communication and networking skills, enabling them to build strong relationships and effectively manage stakeholder interactions.
